Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter on WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In later years, she was employed by WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. The stories she reported in Charleston about the police's leniency in DUI cases prompted a State Law Enforcement Division to look into the matter. It led to the state government imposing more stringent rules in these instances. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by her colleagues at the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year award for all media in South Carolina. In the years following her stay in Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative journalist. She then was hired by Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. O'Dell in addition to being the lead anchor for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She's been a reporter for the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted several Pre-ShowArrivals Shows in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. She also co-hosted the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
